Pandemic…

2020 has been a really rough year overall and even though we’re about to close it out it seems to never get better and that’s mainly because of the COVID-19 pandemic that we are still in. This pandemic has affected me in many ways, whether it was financially, emotionally and even physically. Even through all of the frustration with the pandemic and all that has come with it I still strive to make the best of my situation and I’ve had success as well. My routine that I developed throughout the pandemic has kept me sane in a way where I can keep up with whatever I have to do. Without a daily routine I don’t know how I would be able to make it through this pandemic. Although my routine may change because of some things that may pop up in my life I still manage to keep it and use it everyday. My routine on a typical day would be waking up early around 5 in the morning for a workout, breakfast around 9, School or any work in the afternoon then free time and dinner to wrap up the remainder of the day. My family has also played a very important role aside from my daily routine during this pandemic. Even though I had to on lock down with my annoying siblings and strict parents, we had fun as a family and we also learned a lot about each other being that all of my siblings and I went off to college and we all had a lot to catch up on. Being a student during a pandemic and a college student at that, has been very weird and unreal. Virtual school isn’t really my thing at all. I actually like going to school in person way better because I really do believe I learn material better in that way. The biggest challenge with being a student though is the fact that I can’t socialize with my friends the way I want to and that was a major blow to my senior year in college. This year was supposed to be filled with fun memories that would last a lifetime being that I was in my last year of undergrad. I have never been so frustrated in my life but the safety of others has to be accounted for so I totally understand the precaution from the government officials. Throughout this pandemic I learned quite a lot about myself. I learned that I am obviously not a patient person, I like to make music and also I’m the best boyfriend in the world. I also learned a lot about my community as well. The pandemic has caused millions of people to lose their jobs and many are still fighting to find one now especially the people in my city. People in my city started food drives to help give back to the ones who were really struggling to make ends meet. This put a smile on everyone’s face including mine and I was grateful to be a part of that.
